A Decade of Moments, A Future of Momentum

In construction, a moment connection is one of the strongest joints between two steel components to transfer forces between them. We know that, like construction components, our people are stronger together, which is why we named our women-focused Employee Resource Group (ERG) “Moment Connection.” Now, Moment Connection is celebrating 10 years of memories and looking forward to a future of momentum.

For the last decade, Moment Connection has focused on strengthening relationships and building a strong network among women at JE Dunn while educating and equipping them for success. In an industry where women make up only a small percentage of the workforce, it’s especially important that we create opportunities for connection and support, allowing women to lean on each other and feel they belong on jobsites, in trailers, and in offices.

Since its launch, Moment Connection has created spaces to build authentic relationships, share experiences, and grow both personally and professionally. Members have found mentors, developed leadership skills, and formed lasting friendships with colleagues who understand the unique experiences women can face in construction. Whether through networking events, jobsite tours, volunteer opportunities, or the annual national summit, the group has continued to create opportunities for employees to connect in meaningful ways.

As JE Dunn’s first ERG, Moment Connection has also helped pave the way for the other employee groups that followed. It showed JE Dunn was committed to creating an environment where employees can bring their authentic selves to work. Over the years, our group has helped shape a culture centered on inclusion and belonging.

Ten years later, we continue to work toward that same goal. As the group celebrates “A Decade of Moments, A Future of Momentum,” we’re not only honoring where we’ve been, but also looking ahead to the impact we can continue to make for years to come.
