JE Dunn is investing in the future of the skilled trades through its Workforce Development initiatives, designed to strengthen local talent pipelines and expand access to high‑demand construction careers. One such effort, the Google KCMO STAR (Skilled Trades and Readiness) Program, is a five‑week union apprenticeship readiness program delivered in partnership with the Missouri Works Initiative using the nationally recognized MC3 curriculum. Since its launch in September 2024, the program has graduated 128 participants across seven cohorts, achieving an 86% retention rate and providing hands‑on training, jobsite exposure, and direct pathways into union careers.
Looking ahead, we plan to leverage STAR’s lessons and successes to inform how we expand client-based workforce development initiatives across additional markets.
