Whether you’re working on jobsites, in our offices, or somewhere in between, at JE Dunn we follow the same guiding principles. Doing the right thing drives our company’s decision-making regardless of the scale. We take care of our clients, trade partners, and each other. We strive for the best, highest-quality results in everything we do, all while maintaining a key focus on safety and well-being.
We build with integrity and give our time, talents, and dollars to the communities where we live, work, and build. We provide our employees with benefits and incentives to care for themselves and their families physically, mentally, and financially.
Our work may look much different than it did when JE Dunn was founded more than 100 years ago, but our commitment to Doing the right thing remains as strong as ever.
Doing the right thing is the foundation of meaningful impact. In my work with the community, nonprofit partners, and fellow employee owners, I do my best to ensure that every action I make on behalf of the company reflects a commitment to service, trust, and ethical leadership.
As a Quality Manager, it is important to do the right thing and set a good example for employees at every stage. We are in the business of delivering our client the best experience through the building process and the best product. We should all lead by example and help rally our team members to be at their best.
When the pressure in safety ramps up, it is important to always think about the safety process and correct any gaps in your plan. When you have a plan, discuss your plan, and execute it, you will always do the right thing.
Doing the right thing is shown through our transparency and the way we do business. Our clients look to JE Dunn as a trusted partner, which has really put us in a nice position to win repeat work and grow as a company.
The DEI Project of the Year Award recognizes willing teams that are exceptional at creatively and intentionally incorporating DEI initiatives in projects. JE Dunn selected the Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center as our 2024 DEI Project of the Year.
The project team went above and beyond to increase diverse trade partner participation and engage the community by facilitating intentional discussions with our client, majority firms, and the community.
Something that very few people know about me is that I tend to get surprisingly invested in the “Pink Pony Club” song while working out at the gym.
If I could have lunch with anyone, it would be Muhammad Ali; that’d be legendary — not only because he was the greatest in the ring, but because of who he was outside of it. The courage he had to stand up for what he believed in — even when it cost him his title, his freedom, and his reputation — is rare. He fought with style, poetry, and unapologetic confidence.
One of my favorite vacations was a family trip to Florida a few years ago. I had the unforgettable experience of watching my son see the ocean for the first time. The pure joy on his face as the waves touched his toes is a moment I’ll always treasure.
I truly enjoy golfing whenever I have the opportunity to get out on the course, especially during this time of year when the weather is ideal. I also deeply value spending quality time with my family.
If I had to identify a personal claim to fame, it would be my ability to make almost anyone laugh. Whether it’s through quick wit, storytelling, or simply finding humor in everyday situations, I take pride in bringing a sense of joy and lightness to those around me. It’s a quality that not only helps me connect with people but also creates a positive atmosphere in any setting.
